With over 11 years of experience in VFX and animation, she has first-hand experience of both sides having applied for Production Management roles herself, and having hired PAs and Production Coordinators in the past as well.

Frances created So You Wanna Be Prod with a mission to support Production Departments everywhere and creating this course is one of the ways she is continually contributing to that mission.

  • Maybe you’re new to the industry and have no connections or experience (yet) and have no idea how to get in. Maybe you have been in the industry but it’s been a while since your last job hunt and don’t know where to begin. Whichever it is, this course was created to bridge the gap in NOT knowing.

It’s the guide we wish we had when we first started dusting off our own resume. Practical, honest, and built specifically for the Production Department —not just a general advice.

This course was created to save you time and help you show up at your best no matter your background.

  • IMPORTANT NOTES:

No. 01: Taking this course does not guarantee securing a job. Hiring decisions will depend on employers, but the Prod Summer Camp can at least help prepare you to be at your best when opportunities come knocking.

No. 02: This course is based on your Camp Leader’s own experiences and research, but some journeys may look different and you may find your own way of doing things that also work —and that’s okay.

Why is it FREE?

Staying true to So You Wanna Be Prod’s mission, the course is free because support for Prod means that access should not be a barrier for Production to be able to support themselves —and that starts with landing the job.
